Are you thinking about using CBD products? Wondering what the different kinds of CBD are?
If you’re interested in taking CBD, it’s a good idea to learn about the different types that are available first. When buying CBD, there are a few different options that you can choose from.
In this helpful guide, we’ll tell you about the 3 main types of CBD.
What is CBD?
CBD is a type of active compound that is found in the cannabis plant.
When used, it interacts with the endocannabinoid system in your body and can offer a variety of benefits. CBD is used to provide pain and anxiety relief, promote sleep, and more. CBD often comes in a tincture and is typically used by placing a few drops under the tongue.
Unlike when using THC, CBD doesn’t cause a “high” feeling. Additionally, CBD is non-addictive and isn’t likely to be abused. If you’re worried that you may become addicted to CBD, you may want to learn more about it here.
Understanding CBD Options
There are several different types of CBD products that you can use. Here are 3 types of CBD products that you should know about.
Full-Spectrum CBD
Full-spectrum CBD is a type of CBD that has been derived from the entirety of the hemp plant including stems, roots, flowers, and leaves.
The oils have been extracted and there is a “full-spectrum” of cannabinoids present. This includes CBD, CBG, CBN, and more. There is also a small amount of THC, but this will usually be less than 0.3% for legal reasons.
Because more cannabinoids are present in full-spectrum CBD, this type of CBD will have a more balanced effect on the endocannabinoid system. This is often known as the “entourage effect”.
Broad-Spectrum CBD
Broad-spectrum CBD is also derived from all of the parts of the hemp plant including roots, stems, and more. However, the THC is removed completely.
Broad-spectrum CBD has a mostly full cannabinoid profile but won’t put any THC into a person’s system. This makes broad-spectrum CBD a beneficial option that has no chance of causing a person to fail a drug test or have employment issues.
CBD Isolate
CBD isolate is a type of CBD that includes only 99% pure CBD. Usually, CBD isolate is derived through CO2 extraction methods and all other cannabinoids including CBG and CBN have been removed.
While many people believe that full-spectrum and broad-spectrum CBD is more beneficial overall, some people believe that CBD isolate is the best choice for experiencing the benefits of CBD.
Additionally, many people use CBD isolate for the same reason that they use broad-spectrum CBD. There is no THC in it.
Choosing Between the Main Types of CBD Oil
If you’re thinking about using CBD, then you should consider the types of CBD listed above. Each of the above options can offer a range of benefits, but if you want to get the most use out of CBD, you may want to choose a full-spectrum or broad-spectrum option.
