Sridevi made her Bollywood debut as heroine in 1979 in the film Solva Sawan. She established herself in Bollywood with the 1983 film Himmatwala along with Jeetendra with whom she had paired for 16 films. She became a leading actress the very next year with the film Tohfa. She won many Filmfare and other awards for her stunning roles. Her performance in Nagina took her to the top and she received several accolade.
